Andy McDermott ,İngiliz gerilim yazarı ve eski dergi editörü, film eleştirmeni ve gazetecidir. En çok Nina Wilde ve Eddie Chase romanlarıyla tanınır. Andy McDermott, 2 Temmuz 1974'te İngiltere'nin Halifax kentinde doğdu. Staffordshire'daki Keele Üniversitesi'nden mezun oldu ve şu anda tam zamanlı yazar olarak çalıştığı Bournemouth'da yaşıyor. Yazar olmadan önce Hotdog Magazine ve DVD Review gibi dergilerin gazetecisi ve editörüydü; ayrıca karikatürist, grafik tasarımcı ve video oyunu eleştirmeni olarak çalıştı ve ödüllü İngiliz bilimkurgu çizgi romanı 2000AD için yazdı.
