Anthony John Horowitz CBE, gizem ve gerilim konusunda uzmanlaşmış bir İngiliz romancı ve senaristtir. Çocuklar ve genç yetişkin okuyucular için yazdığı eserler arasında MI6 için casusluk yapan 14 yaşındaki bir İngiliz çocuğu hakkında olan Alex Rider serisi, The Power of Five serisi ve The Diamond Brothers serisi yer almaktadır.

Anthony Horowitz ayrıca Midsomer Murders ve Foyle’s War gibi İngiltere'nin en popüler ve başarılı TV dizilerinden bazılarını yazmıştır.

Aynı zamanda, The House of Silk ve Moriarty adlarinda, çok beğenilen iki Sherlock Holmes romanının yazarıdır. Bir James Bond romanı olan Trigger Mortis ve TV dizisine de uyarlanan Magpie Murders, Sunday Times'ın en çok satanlar listesindedir.

Çok yönlü yazar, Old Vic Theatre Yönetim Kurulu'nda yer almaktadır ve Ocak 2014'te edebiyata yaptığı hizmetlerden dolayı OBE ödülüne layık görülmüştür.
