Faye Kellerman 1952 yılında St. Louis'de doğdu. Bugün çocukları ve psikolog ve ünlü yazar eşi Jonathan Kellerman ile beraber Los Angeles'te yaşıyor. Faye, yazar olmasının yanısıra aynı zamanda diş hekimi, müzisyen ve gitar imalatçısı olarak çalışır. Yazar olarak en büyük başarılarını Peter Decker romanları ile elde etmiştir.
