Joseph Wambaugh'nun Mavi Savaşçı romanı ve çevirisi çok güzeldir. ancak yazarın ikinci okuduğum kitabından sonra bende oluşan kanaat bu romanların bildiğimiz anlamda polisiye olmadığı yönünde. çünkü her ne kadar bu romanlarda polisler başrolde olsa da hikaye belli bir suç ve bu suçla alakalı muamma etrafında ilerlemiyor. daha çok polislerin hayatları, hissiyatları, yaşadıkları ilginç olaylar anlatılıyor. Gölge Protokol'ü de ne kadar kendimi zorlasam da bitiremedim. çevirisini de beğendiğimi söyleyemem.
çok hacimli bir kitap. 150 sayfa kadar okumama rağmen hikayenin içine giremeyince bıraktım. bu kitabın kötü olduğu anlamına gelmez ama bana hitap etmedi sanırım. polisiyede fazla ayrıntılı anlatım beni boğuyor. bu yüzden bitirmeden bıraktım. oysa bir başka Alman yazar Wolfgang Schorlau'yu çok sevmiştim.
